K&N Cold Air Intake Saves You $$ in the End Apr 17, 2007
By 8AA2YM I bought this (my 4th) CAI for my Mazda5. It's easy to install, albeit time consuming, and improves power, gas mileage and emissions! I love the roar from under the hood during acceleration, and enjoy the smooth cruising quietness. Just make sure you get everything lined up and tight. I had a loose connection on the one I installed on a Saab 9-5, and I stalled out about 2 miles from home.

By seth brownell I installed the CAI about one month ago and am still loving it. The install was slower than I expected because I had to take off the front bumper to access the bolts on the factory intake. Power gain is small but noticable. The engine noise is much louder especially at higher rpm's. Before I was getting 28.4 mpg now I'm getting 29.7. I have been driving with a heavy foot so I bet I can get 30+ if I slow down. I drive a 2007 Mazda 3 2.3L
