It's so difficult to be a consistant jingo in a world market. Jan 22, 2010 If you bought this because you "only buy American", guess again. You're profoundly mistaken. This is another fine Szechwan product brought to you with an American Logo stamp. In fact, if you subscribe a service similar to this one, [...] , you'll discover that WARN, like its competition, is a branded assembly aggregator, the 21st century's new manufacturing business model, enabled by international capital, containerized shipping, and free, flexible, open markets.

Quality Product Jan 17, 2010 This receiver mount shackle bracket is nice quality and a good means for recovery strap attachment if already have a frame mounted receiver hitch.
I had no issues with the shackle fitting over the bracket as others mentioned. The shackle unscrews easily and slips fine over the bracket without any alteration.
I have already used this product this winter to assist other vehicles who lost traction in loose snow.

American made May 05, 2009 American made is important to me and was the #1 reason I purchased the Warn receiver shackle over any other brand.
It's well made and does what it should do.
I bought two of them because most of the time the person I'm hooking up to doesn't have one of their own.
Using a shackle is much safer than using a hook or a trailer ball. I've seen tow straps come off of trailer balls and I've seen hooks break and it's very dangerous.

Works well, with modifications Jan 20, 2009 Shackle works as well as you would expect a shackle too - it holds stuff.
Only problem was that the shackle did not originally fit over the mount - there was a ridge from the casting process on the shackle that made the opening too narrow to fit over the mount. A few minutes with a grinder and all works fine.
Warn is a good company, and I am sure they have taken care of this by now and replaced the mold

Another "Good" rating Jun 16, 2008 I purchased this item along with the Warn 63063 Hitch Pin Kit. To slide the hitch pin entirely through the Warn receiver bracket, I had to remove a small metal deformity "edge" at one end of the hitch pin hole. I used a rotary file bit with my battery-powered hand drill to remove that extra metal--10 minutes of effort, tops. Afterwards, the hitch pin was a good fit with little or no sliding resistance.
