Hemi 180 degree thermostat... Sep 12, 2010
By John Replaced the stock thermostat a few weeks ago with this...dropped coolant and tranny temps approx. 14 degrees on average..also dropped intake temps approx. 5 degrees...no noticeable change either way in mileage...butt dyno noticed a mild improvement...also have a Superchips Cortex...true duals...and AirRam's Power Wire installed...

By BLK R/T a very great useful product helps the engine to reduce the temperature & get back the lost HP & gives the engine more life time.
5 minute install Sep 03, 2011
By Karen I was plesantly surprised that my '06 Dodge truck with Hemi was an easy install. I have changed many T-Stats in the past, some were much easier than others. This one was just about as easy as they come. The stock one was sticking at 75,000 miles, so I went to the dealer for a new one. They only stock the 200 degree model. My truck came stock with a 185. I asked if the 185 was a part that they could order, and was told "not anymore". Something about smog laws, the motor has to get to a hotter temp in order to more completely burn the fuel. Problem with that is, I drive around the desert a lot. I don't like teh gauge sitting at the halfway point before i start a trip. So I got the dealer part, and orederd the Jet 180 T-Stat from Amazon. The shipping was exceptionally quick. It arrived next day. In 5 minutes, it was installed, and I am much happier than I was with teh factory part.
5 Stars so far, worth it! Aug 11, 2011
By Nightshifter The double-valve thermostat in my 5.7L had come apart and was restricting flow randomly. I bought this as a replacement because I had added a cold air intake and have re-done the exhaust, doing away with the huge stock mufflers.
Engine now runs at 182 to 186 while driving, very nice. I'm hoping that it is better made than the one that I replaced. If there's any failure, I'll come back and report it.
Make sure you use the proper coolant when filling back up. Don't mix colors or types, if in doubt buy from a dealer and mix with distilled water (50/50).
