So I purchased this for my Pontiac G8 GT after much debate between a local tuner and this out of the box tune. Let me say after hearing so many great things about it on the net I decided to give it a shot. It totally woke the car up. Feels like an entirely different car now. The shifts are firmer and more responsive thanks to an adjustable torque management system. You also get the added bonus of being able to retune the car back to stock at anytime. The whole tuning process takes maybe five minutes max.
It is also capable of data logging (0-60mph or 1/4mile times etc). I know it is not 100% accurate but it definetly gives you an idea of your gains over stock after certain tuning adjustments. It can also read and clear check engine codes. All in all I think it is an excellent value and if you ever out grow the tuner than you can always resale it and pick up a good portion of what you spent on it. i expected to be able to program the ecu at some level however minimal
this unit instead allows you to control only shift points, rev limiter and a couple of other inconsequential variables
i have seen no noticeable increase in torque .
in my view this product is a total ripoff and the advertisement for it is misleading

Simple to use, gave me the performance I wanted as well as ability to track some stats and figures. The company had good support and updates. I have nothing but good feelings for this product. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to tinker around with their car, but does not know the engine in and out. I used this with my 2008 Pontiac G8 GT (6.0L V8). Noticed improvement in acceleration, as well as engine performance on highway driving. Liked the ability to toggle the cylinder shut down for my car.

It took me 5 minutes to turn my truck into a freaking hot rod/drag strip rocket. Already had the cold air intake and custom exhaust, but didnt get anything out of them unit I plugged this thing in. When you receive your Cortex, you'll have to download the latest software, which takes 15 or 20 minutes. Thats the longest part of the whole thing. Once you do that, all you have to do is plug it in and follow a few very simple instructions. And if you cant figure this thing out, and I mean fast, I honestly have to wonder if you should even be allowed to operate a vehicle. Its that easy. Do what you want, I'm just saying, Superchips is two thumbs way up in my book.

The Best Out there for any stock car, (after market filter and cat-back will not harm).
It can program another car/truck IF you DE-program the first one, so you might be able to use it for your next car/truck. or sell it to a somebody who has one of the supported cars/trucks.
My 2008 Silverado 2500HD is a MONSTER now, a huge increase in hp and torque. a litter firmer shifting in automatic transmitters. but its ok. Make sure you use the right octane fuel ( 93 or higher in performance tune).
didn't try the economy tune yet. will update this review after a couple of weeks.
definitely Highly recommended :)
