Great product Sep 05, 2009
By Larry R. Smith I was looking for a Receiver where I could tow my trailer and carry my bikes or canoe rack at the same time. This is the one.

Not the answer for me! Jun 30, 2009
By N. Kirk This seemed like a great solution to my dilemna. I have a Jayco pop-up camper and I wanted to use my hitch-mounted bike rack to take bikes while camping. Once you attach the hitch ball, the second hitch receiver isn't high enough to place the bike rack in before hooking up the trailer. There's not enough clearance. You have to hook up the trailer first and then insert the bike rack. My pop-up camper has the standard wheel on the tongue of the trailer to raise and lower the tongue of the trailer and it does not lower such as some boat trailers. It stays vertical and is right where the bikes would hang from the bike rack so when turning it would more than likely hit the bikes. Not to mention my propane tank for the trailer is also right there. I'm sure it works great for a boat trailer. If you have a boat trailer and are considering this, try looking on ebay and buy them used from those that tried it with a camper! I'm giving it a 2 out of 5 since it does what it claims, just doesn't seem to be universal.
Valley 75090 Receiver Tube Sep 22, 2011
By Jerry Flynn Needs to be taller. With the bike rack in place, there is not enough clearance to raise the Stowmaster 5000 tow bar high enough to clear the ball. Everytime I connect or disconnect the car, the bikes have to come off then the bike rack has to come off. I'll have a weld shop modify it for probably more than the hitch cost me but Valley should make the receiver a couple inches taller. Maybe an inch would do it -- their testing should determine.
Great System May 12, 2011
By Steven J. O'neil I bought one of these mounts to allow me to mount my bike rack and tow my Coleman camper. After a full summer of camping I have no complaints about this system. I mounted 4 bikes and towed my trailer without any problems.
I highly recommend it.

By RSS NOVA I have only used this trailer hitch once to make sure it will work for my application. I'm using it to allow me to use carry bicycles on a bike rack while pulling a pop-up camper. On a trial run I did not have any problems, though the clearance between the trailer and the bicycles appeared to be a bit close on a tight turn. Would have rated the hitch a 5, if I were absolutely certain there will not be problem.
Shipping and receipt from the vendor went smoothly with no problems.
