I purchased this item to reduce the sway of my RV tag along, and if your going to do any long distance hauling (towing) this device helps much with wind and buffeting from Tractor/Trailers, especially in passing. Many years ago, I said to myself, "this is just another unnessary expense" until I almost went off the roadway because of trailer sway while passing a truck. Today, it's part of my hitch setup always.

Ordered this item to my house with 2 day shipping - arrived on schedule from Amazon. Directions fairly simple and was very easy to install. This device has eliminated almost all sway on my 25' coachman trailer. In Florida, our speed limit is 70MPH and I had very little sway after installing this unit on the highway. Would recommend to all users requiring sway control. Tip: Purchase a titanium drilling bit if you are planning to install this on a steel frame.

Instructions could have been better. A bit more difficult to install than we planned. Works very well in combination with the Valley weight distributing hitch. I recommend this product if the wind is taking you off course.

I am generally pleased with the ease of installation, and use of this device, it has done what it is designed to do. Reason for only 4 stars is that there is not a locking device on the friction adjustment lever, so that it could move while towing, mine has not done that, but I look for stuff like that, and did not think it would have come with out somthing like that. With that said, I have not yet needed a locking device, and this has been working great.
