This is my fifth vehicle with a K and N air filter. I like them because there is no maintenance unless you keep the car forever! So you save on each paper filter you would have to buy at the scheduled replacement. The real reason I buy them is for the increased gas mileage. The first car was a 1986 5 litre Capri. It averaged 2 mpg increase. My latest vehicle, a 2009 Ford Focus five speed, has increases of 4-6 mpg. It all depends on how you drive! I use the cruise and keep the revs in in 2-3000 range. It cruises at 55 mph at 2200 rpm. I bought from Amazon because it was the lowest price and delivered when promised. My last tank I averaged 36 mpg city/highway with snow tires installed. I hope it increases with the stock tires!

Amazing product! Fuel economy increased a small amount, but the best part is the performance Ive gotten from installing this item. Buy one.

I got this for my 2009 Focus in hopes of achieving better performance and fuel economy [as described on the packaging.] Haven't noticed much of a change in either one [yet,] but at least I'll never have to buy another air filter again.

K&N always makes quality products, this filter is no exception. I am not going to boldly say that it will significantly improve your MPGs but it will certainly save you money because it has the lifetime warrenty, and held up next to the stock filter, it clearly is of much higher quality. I would recommend this filter to my friends and family, and to you too.

I picked this up for my 2008 ford focus but I'm not sure how much good it's doing. My fuel economy calculator shows that at 65 if I'm a truck link behind a big rig on the highway I can get about 45mpg but when I fill up I'm not seeing it. Regardless, I'd like to drive this car another 150k miles so at least I won't have to buy another paper filter.
